As a country with quite hot weather, it's not surprising that most people use air conditioning. That way, not a few people are looking for tips on saving AC electricity so that electricity bills do not swell.
Considering the use of electricity requires considerable power. Electricity bills have become more significant than before using air conditioning. To overcome this, see the tips for saving AC electricity below. Such electricity bills do not soar!
Tips to Save on AC Electricity
1. Use Air Conditioning in Closed Rooms
The first tip to save AC electricity is to make sure you turn on the air conditioner in a closed room. Air circulation in an air-conditioned room will affect the strength of the air conditioner.
If the air conditioner is on in an open room, it will make the temperature sensor unstable and continue to expend more energy. It also results in the temperature in the room not cooling down quickly because of the wasted air circulation to other rooms.
2. Temperature Degree Regulation
Adjusting the temperature of the AC is also one of the tips to save AC electricity that you should pay attention to. Some types of air conditioners have a minimum temperature of 16º Celsius.
Setting the temperature at a minimum temperature number is not recommended for a long time because, at a minimum temperature setting, the compressor on the air conditioner will work continuously without stopping, resulting in swelling electricity bills.
Not only the electricity bill is increasingly bloated, but it will also reduce the life of the ac due to the maximum compressor workload without stopping. The recommended temperature when using the air conditioner is 24-27ºC.
3. Use of Powerful or Turbo Mode
The powerful turbo mode will make the room cool quickly, but the way will make the fan and compressor work harder than in average conditions. Can use a powerful method in using air conditioning in the early stages.
After the room cools down enough, immediately return it to normal mode. If the powerful way is used for an extended period, it will make the compressor and fan on the AC heat up quickly, which consumes more electrical power.
4. No Need to Turn Off the AC If It's Just a Short Time
Some people think that if you are going to leave an air-conditioned room, you have to turn it off for a while and then turn it on when you return. It is not recommended because the compressor requires 20-30% more power when turning the AC on.
Therefore, you should leave the ac on in the room if you are only going to travel for 15-30 minutes. The stable condition of the air conditioner will make your electricity bill stable.
5. Do Ac Maintenance Regularly
So that the AC works optimally and does not consume more power, make sure you do regular AC maintenance because a dirty AC will cause the compressor to work harder.
Compressors that work harder will undoubtedly require more power. You can clean the AC filter once a month and clean it as a whole every three months.
